The Old Boston & Albany Line featured a major challenge when it crossed the Berkshire Mountains
in Western Massachusetts.  Conrail took over in 1976, and although helpers were hardly ever
used, many trains were brought to their knees climbing the hill.  Lots of great action from many scenic
locations is seen, with a variety of power, winter drama & the short-lived Bow (NH) Coal trains.

This program was formerly part of a VHS program called "Conrail's Mountain Main Lines"
The original footage has been completely re-edited and re-mastered for DVD.  There is some
footage not seen in the VHS program.
