Conrail SD80MAC's on the Boston Line
Photos are actual video captures!

EMDs unique AC-Traction
locomotive that fell in an unusual
position between the more common SD70MACs and SD90MACs.
Only 30 of them were produced, and all became the property
of Conrail. Although the 5000 horsepower brutes could be found
throughout the Conrail System, they became a way of life for many
freights on The Boston Line. Railfans from around the country
visited The Boston Line just to see them! With the acquisition
of Conrail by CSX on June 1st, 1999 the SD80MACs began to
disappear, as CSX moved its share of the locomotives to
its coal territories.

No video producer has covered The Boston Line during this
period like BROKEN KNUCKLE VIDEO PRODUCTIONS,
and were proud to release this program featuring SD80MACs
hauling train after train through Eastern New York,
The Berkshires, Palmer, Charlton, Framingham, and more!
All 30 SD80MAC's produced are seen in this program!
