This section shows the photos that have
been seen on the BKVP website over the
years, plus as time permits, a whole lot
more. In addition I will be re-scanning
hundreds of the current photos with a
more up-to-date 1024 pixel wide screen size.

I will also soon be offering some of my favorite
photographs as glossy prints (roughly 8x10) or
a high resolution TIFF format that you can print
yourself. These will be sold for a nominal price.

I started taking dedicated trips for
railfanning at the age of 13 when my
older brother received his drivers
license. Many of our trips were to
Mechanicville yard in Eastern, NY.
Others were to a more local Ayer Jct.
in Massachusetts. A most memorable trip
was to Horseshoe Curve while still a
4-track line, and during the final year
of the Penn Central.

Unfortunately my early photography
was poor both due to my inexperience
and to using a Kodak Instamatic camera.
I'll always regret taking bad shots of
classic stuff such as ALCO PA's on the D&H.
As time went on I went through several
cameras, and the quality of my work
improved. Fortunately in time to still
capture some classic stuff.
(At least for my generation)!

At the beginning of 2005, after shooting
several thousand slides, many of
which are still unsorted, I made the
switch to digital photography.
I'll never look back.
