Another day of cloudy weather, and to add to my
frustration, my videocamera detected condensation
and decided not to work for awhile.  Combined with
my still being upset over the loss of a roll of film on
the previous day,  I took this opportunity to enjoy a
brief temper tantrum.  Regaining my composure was a
matter of seconds as I reminded myself  where I was.
I managed a few decent shots after loading my camera
with 400 speed film

The videocamera had recovered and a few breaks of Sun
made for an enjoyable midday.  The unpatched Warbonnet
lashup on the second train seen here was also a plus.  One
thing I missed however were the signal bridges which were
here when I visited in 1996.  BNSF had replaced them, along
with the "Maine" sign which originally stood closer to the
grade crossing.  A different sign now stood further east.

This is the highest point on The "Transcon", actually surpassing
the elevation of The Continental Divide.  It's a great place to
watch trains too, as they work hard from both directions climbing
to crest the summit.

Adding some comic relief was this nut who insisted
on having his photo taken while a westbound passed.
OK, now you all know what the owner of this website
looks like.

3 meets in a row had occurred on this afternoon.
This was the first, and the only one I photographed.
All three were captured on video.
