It is 1997 and we get to see a very busy Union Pacific mainline. We also see quite a few yellow and green units still flagged for the recently merged Chicago North Western. Take a trip back in time to the busy UP line from North Platte to Cheyenne - UP's Sidney Sub. We'll see some action at the yards at each end of the line, and at many mainline locations. Many locations and trains are marked with on-screen captions. This video was shot using professional equipment of the time, but is not up to the clarity of today's high-definition video. It is however, an excellent snapshot of an important time in the nation's railroad history. This DVD is divided into almost 50 chapters allowing you to quickly access various parts of this 2 hour video.
